SRI International, BASF, Richman Chemical, PDI and Codexis have all
had people on the move in the world of pharmaceutical outsourcing.

Richman Chemical​ has announced the appointment of Brian Watson to the newly created position of manager, toll manufacturing services at the company. Watson joined the CMO in 2001 as a project manager, and has been involved in the manufacturing industry for over 14 years. SRI International​ has announced that Lidia Sambucetti has joined its Biosciences Division as senior director of cancer research. In her new role, Sambucetti will direct cancer drug discovery efforts and aim to advance the translational research programs of the Biosciences Division. She joins the firm from Telik, where she was director of biochemistry. BASF​ has appointed Folker Ruchatz as head of its global custom synthesis business within its Pharma Ingredients & Services unit. He has also been given the role of managing director of BASF Orgamol Pharma Solutions, which makes active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and intermediates. Prior to this he was he was in charge of the company's Pharma Solutions and Dietary Supplements segment in North America. PDI​ has named Peter Tilles as the new president of its TVG Marketing Research and Consulting division. According to the firm, Tilles has more than 20 years experience in marketing, strategy, sales and business development and his expertise is in identifying new profitable revenue sources and driving business growth. He is also a co-founder and currently serves on the board of directors of MedAvante, a pharmaceutical R&D services company conducting centralised assessments for mood disorder clinical trials. Codexis​ has appointed Nicholas Green to the newly created position of president, Codexis Pharmaceuticals. The company is a developer of clean manufacturing processes, and in his new role Green will be responsible for the management and operations of the Pharmaceuticals division, overseeing the products and services for innovator and generics firms. Prior to joining Codexis, Green was CEO and managing director at India CMO Shasun Pharma Solutions, and held senior positions at Rhodia Pharma, Clariant Life Sciences and NIPA Biocides. Finally, Cytel Clinical Research Services​ has recruited Irving Dark to the position of vice president. He joins the company from Veristat, where he established and oversaw the company's Data Management, Project Management, and Business Development departments.
