Azelis lands nitroalkanes distribution deal with Angus Chemical

Angus Chemical Company has hired Azelis to distribute its nitroalkanes to pharmaceutical and biotech companies in Europe.

The deal – terms of which were not disclosed – will see Antwerp, Belgium-based Azelis ship nitroalkanes and derivatives to drug firms.

Matthew Dickman, Azelis’ Market Segment Director Pharm, explained that the agreement has provisions to allow both companies to provide technical support. 

The partnership will enable both parties to focus on providing the highest level of technical, logistical and customer service support to the growing customer base across Europe and Turkey​.”

Azelis will also supply industrial coatings companies on Angus’ behalf.

Pharma reach

Azelis employs more than 1,100 staff at sites worldwide, 70% of whom are involved in “customer facing” sales roles.

The firm's pharmaceutical business has seen a number of expansions in recent years. In November 2015 when it opened a laboratory in Hertford, UK.
