The latest hires and departures at Parexel, GNS Healthcare, and more.
Parexel has promoted its head of Early Phase services and Corporate Vice President to Chief Scientific Officer. Sy Pretorius will continue in his previous roles as well as assuming the new position.
Mark Goldberg, Parexel President, said Pretorius’s responsibilities had been expanded so his expertise could be spread more widely in the company at a time when “customers are increasingly seeking a full spectrum of integrated clinical research services from a single provider to make drug development more efficient.”
Pretorius’s work will include Phase I and IIa services, clinical trial modelling and simulations, adaptive trial design, and study optimisation.
