IT provider DZS Software Solutions’ says its ClinPlus CTMS system has been selected to manage an upcoming trial of PhotoThera’s transcranial laser technology in patients who have suffered acute ischemic stroke.

While further details of the clinical trial have not been released, Cindy Croissant, PhotoThera’s director of clinical operations, explained that ClinPlus’ ease of use had been key in winning DZS the contract.

One of the main reasons we decided on DZS was the fact that we found the intuitive design of the system to be easy to navigate, which we felt would eventually translate into less training time and less potential for errors and frustration among system users.”

The ClinPlus clinical trial management software (CTMS), which was launched in June, is a web-based technology that, DZS believes, can improve “trial site productivity by eliminating redundant systems and existing manual tasks.”
