US ePRO specialist PHT and CRO CMIC have created a data capture and reporting service network for clinical trials in Japan.

The service will provide PHT’s range of electronic patient reporting outcome (ePRO) technologies to pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical clients running clinical trial programmes in the world’s second largest drug market.

For its part, Japanese contract research organisation (CRO) CMIC will provide standard clinical trial services, ranging from patient recruitment to data collection and monitoring, to both drug industry sponsors and clinical trial sites.

The firm will also supply development, trial-scale production and marketing services on a contractual basis via its network in the country and emerging clinical research hubs China, Korea, Singapore and Taiwan.
