PCI Clinical Services’ (PCI) new FastTrack Service aims to cut down on clinical trial supply delivery timelines.

The FastTrack Service expedites clinical packaging, labeling, and distribution, according to the pharmaceutical outsourcing services provider.

The service leverages the company’s in-house label printing capabilities and a specialized team, which, as the company explained, enables it to complete label design, printing, receipt, and Qualified Person (QP) release for investigational study supplies within 10 days.

According to PCI, it can complete repeat packing runs and QP release in three days for study drug resupply as part of its FastTrack: On Demand service.

Additionally, FastTrack: Just in Time provides sponsors with supply flexibility by applying a protocol or expiry date label at the point of dispatch within two days.

The Just in Time solution also provides for supply chain strategies such as pooled drug supplies across multiple protocols and a solution to any challenges posed by updates to Annex VI, the regulatory classification system for the labeling and packaging of Clinical products,” according to PCI.

PCI has also appointed a team of dedicated staff as part of the FastTrack service offering.
