Dr. Kerri Schoedel has been promoted to scientific director, clinical pharmacology, at Kendle's Early Stage clinical research unit in Toronto, Canada. Schoedel will provide scientific direction and leadership to Kendle’s clinical pharmacology group.
Contract manufacturing company Hovione has named Dr. Thomas Eisele as general manager, R&D. Meanwhile,Dr. Roger Viney becomes director of sales and marketing, Europe and Asia, and Steve Beagle takes up the equivalent position in North America.
Drug development services company Covance has boosted its periapproval services team with three new members: Dr. Glynis Neagle, vice president for medical affairs; Robert Bader, director for product safety services; and Thomas Noto, vice president for regulatory affairs.
Guido Schmidt-Chiari has resigned from the position of supervisory board chairman at Austria’s Constantia Packaging AG. He has been with the company since 1994. The group’s Constantia Flexibles subsidiary supplies film and other products to the pharmaceutical industry.
