Merck Millipore appoints a new CEO, senior changes at Quintiles' Novella, and more.
Merck Millipore, the life sciences supplier known as EMD Millipore in the US and Canada, has announced its new President and CEO, Udit Batra. He will assume leadership on May 15 2014 from the company’s US headquarters in Massachusetts.
Batra, who holds a PhD in chemical engineering from Princeton University, moves to Merck Millipore from Merck KGaA’s Consumer Health division.
He previously worked as Head of Global Public Health and Market Access at Novartis Vaccines & Diagnostics, following several senior Novartis positions, including leading Corporate Strategy and the Australian business.
Batra’s early jobs included roles at Merck & Co. (MSD), McKinsey and Johnson & Johnson.
