A change of Chief Operating Officer at Lonza, plus other appointments in contract manufacturing and pharmaceutical commercial services.
Lonza has promoted its Chief Legal Officer and Board Secretary to Chief Operating Officer of its Pharma & Biotech division after Stephan Kutzer announced his imminent departure from the company.
Marc Funk will take over the Pharma & Biotech segment from July 1 this year after a short handover period. He will also continue in his existing roles until the company announces his successor.
Lonza’s CEO Richard Ridinger said Marc had been chosen for the role because of his success managing operational, commercial and quality projects for the unit, and because of his experience as the co-founder of biotech research company GeneProt.
