Northern Ireland-based contractor Almac will add 25 new staff at its facility in Craigavon before the end of the month, continuing its policy of recruiting local science talent.

The firm, which hired a similar number of staff last month and is advertising for an additional 54 positions, has been boosting its R&D and clinical research capability ahead of the opening of a new analytical centre later this year.

Almac CEO Alan Armstrong explained that: “We are particularly looking for graduates qualified in scientific disciplines,” adding that the expansion is a result of the company’s continued growth in the pharmaceutical sector.
