The US firm, who makes its living by providing semi-solid and liquid drug development and manufacturing services, has located its new facilities in San Antonio at Brooks City-Base - a former military base that the local authorities are attempting to transform into a bioscience, academic, industrial and technical campus.
The new campus includes a research centre, as well as key, front-end manufacturing processes, quality control labs, storage of raw materials and finished goods, and worldwide product distribution, said the firm.
Costing $24m (€18.8m) and encompassing 224,000 sq. ft. and 34,000 sq. ft., the two new buildings have created 136 warehouse, laboratory and scientific jobs and DPT Labs said it plans to add a further 250 by 2010.
