Norwich Pharmaceuticals has expanded its pilot scale production capabilities at its CDMO plant in New York, US.

The newly extended plant – which has the ability to handle high potency product - includes granulators and dryers with solvent capability, as well as a coating pan and a encapsulator with duel pellet feeders.

Through development, the contract development and manufacturing (CDMO) company now says it can run multiple projects simultaneously.

“Through this significant capital investment, Norwich is not only adding production capacity, we also are strengthening project management, increasing on-time delivery and further expanding our capability to provide customers with one comprehensive solution for all stages of the product life cycle,” said Norwich president Terry Novak.

Novak told Outsourcing-Pharma more about the new plant at the AAPS annual conference in Washington.
