Construction of the facility in Maryland, US will strengthen Pii in the growth areas of oncology and high potency compounds by giving it more fill/finish suites for handling vials and syringes.
“The additional facilities will enable us to support our clients from pre-clinical through commercial-scale production and meet the growing demand for fill/finish services for potent compounds and oncology drugs”, Steve King, senior vice president of Pii, said.
Pii expects to complete construction of the facility in the fourth quarter of 2012.
