The contract, one of several Therapure has signed in recent months including deals with ProChon Biotech, Viron Therapeutics, Kane Biotech and LFB Biomedicaments , is for cell line development and protein production services at its 130,000 sqft manufacturing facility in Toronto, Canada.
The companies are also negotiating for the provision of on-going good manufacturing practice (GMP) standard manufacturing services for the pharmaceuticals in question.
DiaMedica CEO Rick Pauls explained that Therapure had been selected as a result of its expertise in cell line development.
