The award recognizes Brecon’s efforts to develop a key staff training efforts, particularly its use of national vocational qualifications (NVQ) and lean six sigma development programmes.
Brecon’s training and standards development manager Des Preece said that: “We work in a standards-driven industry and the competence of our team is fundamental to the confidence our clients place in us.”
The firm went on to cite the recent contract it won with compliance packaging specialist Burgopak as an example of the type of contract manufacturing business the Cogent award will generate.
