US CRO staffing and functional specialist ASG has purchased contract research firm Ockham, furthering its evolution into a one-stop clinical contracting firm.

The all stock merger, financial terms of which have not being released, creates a company that can offer a full range of contract research capabilities to drug developers in addition to ASG’s traditional strength in providing services to contract research organisations (CRO).

The combined firm will employ more than 240 staff worldwide and is projected to have a turnover of some $30m (€24m) a year.
