Nalgene introduces its sterile disposable shaker flask that
incorporates a larger volume capacity for single-use. Its design
aims to reduce the risk of cross contamination.

The 2.8L sterile disposable shaker flasks form an integral part of processes involved in drug discovery that includes for shaker and suspension cell culture, media preparation and media storage.

Problems arise when some shaker flasks are constructed to awkward shape specifications, resulting in uneven mixing and difficulty in cleaning out residue.

>Nalgene's flask is made of optically clear, polyethylene terephthalate copolyester (PETG), Nalgene 2.8L Sterile Disposable Flasks are lightweight and economical for single-use applications.

The flask is made with molded-in graduations, which enable quick volume assessment.

Users can specify a plain flask bottom for benchtop use or a baffled bottom for use on a shaker table. These flasks are available with leak-proof standard or vented closures

In addition, the flask offers a 5-year shelf life and are gamma irradiated to achieve Sterility Testing Level (SAL) 10-6.

Additional testing confirms non-cytotoxic and non-pyrogenic status. Units are individually packaged for ease in storage and handling.
