SCRS makes Covance its fifth CRO partner
As a Global Impact Partner (GIP), SCRS will help facilitate more dialogue between Covance and clinical research sites. Covance is the fifth CRO to partner as a GIP, with Center Point Clinical Services, INC Research, PPD, PRA Health Sciences and Quintiles also partnering with the group.
The partnerships have helped foster the creation of so-called Site Advocacy Groups (SAGs), which allow for high-level discussions between companies and SCRS members.
“SAG members are able to provide feedback on different initiatives developed to increase site sustainability and efficiency in the conduct of clinical research,” SCRS spokesman Stephen Kelly told us.
Jill Johnston, Global Vice President, Site Activation, Informatics and Optimization, Covance, added: “Our work with SCRS will help us better understand the needs of our clinical research partners and ultimately improve service to our pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients.”
As a GIP, Covance will also participate on the SCRS Global Impact Board at an executive level, and work with SCRS’ Leadership Council in the development and execution of strategic initiatives for SCRS.
