Selvita opens two US offices and sets up Selvita Inc
Selvita offers analysis, production and purification of recombinant proteins to the pharmaceutical industry from its headquarters in the Polish capital Krakow.
The Cambridge, Massachusetts office will be the headquarters of Selvita Inc – a new subsidiary the contract research organisation (CRO) is setting up – while the office in San Bruno, California will support West Coast customers.
CEO Pawel Przewiezlikowski said: “Our presence in US will not only bring us closer both to our current and potential US clients, but at the same time will facilitate the bidirectional transfer of know-how between our labs in Poland and the partner base in the US.”
He added that: “Establishing a permanent presence in the US is an investment in the quality of service and sales.”
The move comes six months after Selvita bought mass spectrometers, ultra-HPLC systems with specialised detectors and microscale thermophoresis measurement devices for its European lab, citing demand from biosimilar developers.
