SGS adds formulation development services and expands US lab
Company VP of business development - North America - Eric Hoffman told Outsourcing-pharma.com about the move at the Interphex tradeshow in New York last week, explaining that customer demand and the ability to be involved in projects at an earlier stage were the key motivations for the investment.
“Demand from customers has been increasing for several years…as an analytical laboratory pre-formulation development typically takes place prior to the work we see from our customers and the number of our customers asking for these type of services made it a very logical decision for us.”
Hoffman added that the while the Lincolnshire, Illinois facility will be the base SGS also plans to offer formation development at one of its sites in Europe in due course.
