Vectech Pharmaceutical Consultants International (VPCI) has launched a “virtual” GMP service to offer face to face consultation without any of the travel costs.

US based consulting group VPCI says that in an increasingly complicated regulatory environment emails and phone calls are no longer able to provide the sort of on-demand expert access that drugmakers need.

VPCI’s approach is to bring pharmaceutical industry customers and its good manufacturing practice (GMP) experts together using high tech video conferencing and collaboration software.

VPCI chairman Franco DeVecchi said that: “With the Pharmaceutical industry becoming more global, and especially during tough economic times, manufacturers need support services that are both cost-effective and time sensitive.”
