A new validation package for pharmaceutical applications has hit the market. Provided by Markem corporation, the new package is intended to assist companies, in performing validation of new coding equipment and to ensure that a specific process will consistently produce a code or mark that meets predetermined specifications and quality attributes.
The company writes this week that the Validation Package includes information such as design and functional specifications as well as standard operating procedures (SOP) required to ensure consistent operation.
It also outlines product performance tests that can be conducted by customers to verify that design and performance are to the established specifications.
Markem claims that the package of tests can provide pharmaceutical customers with a vendor-approved base from which to begin creating their internal testing procedures, thereby saving them development costs, and allowing them to create the FDA's required documentation.
"We are dedicated to using our expertise in the pharmaceutical market to shorten the time it takes for a company to validate our products," affirmed Paul Mills, business development manager, Markem.
