Millipore has launched a new suite of software that allows users to automatically record and retrieve water quality data for better compliance with Good Laboratory Practice.
The software, called Explore Data, gives users of Millipore's Milli-Q, Elix and RiOs products direct access to the company's water purification performance and historical data for use in validating their systems. These products contain built-in clocks so that reports can be generated in real time, which aids in validation and traceability. The on-line access to Millipore also allows scheduling of maintenance events, according to the company.
Meanwhile, the company has also introduced a new 200 to 350-litre water Storage and Distribution System (SDS) designed for use in tandem with the firm's RiOs and Elix water purification products.
The SDS provides protection against airborne contamination and has a vent filter designed to prevent contaminants entering the water. An ultraviolet light-based system prevents the formation of biofilms on the inside of the storage reservoir. At full stretch, the system can deliver 8,000 litres of water a day, according to Millipore.
