Tecan launches Genios Pro in US
GENios Pro with injectors, at the Drug Discovery Technology meeting
in the US.
Tecan has launched a cost-effective multimode microplate reader, GENios Pro with injectors, in the US. The product made its US debut at the Drug Discovery Technology meeting in Boston.
The new microplate reader is complete with flash luminescence, fluorescence, absorbance, time resolved fluorescence and fluorescence polarisation, according to Tecan. This provides it with the "increased sensitivity and measurement capabilities to meet the growing demands of both academic and biopharmaceutical company research laboratories," it added.
The product has been designed as an all-in-one solution for a range of applications in genomics, proteomics and drug discovery including: binding assays (receptor-ligand, protein-protein binding, etc); gene expression studies via reporter gene assays; luciferase-based assays; BRET (Bioluminescence Resonance Energy Transfer) assays; FRET (Fluorescence Resonance Energy Transfer) assays; and cell-based assays, including those based on green fluorescent protein (GFP).
