The European Union's group for emerging biopharmaceutical enterprises (EBE) will hold an information day on priority one of the Sixth Framework Programme (FP6) - life sciences, genomics and biotechnology for health - on 4 September in Brussels, Belgium.

The main aim of the day is to provide small and medium biopharmaceutical companies in Europe with a better understanding of the benefits of participating in FP6, and more specifically, in the second call for the life sciences, genomics and biotechnology for health priority.

A series of sessions will also take place, in which companies will be able to speak directly with representatives from the European Commission about the areas that they would like to see included in the future calls. Furthermore, Commission representatives will give an overview of the application and evaluation process for FP6 project proposals.

There is more than €100 million available per year for life science SMEs in the FP6 programme.
