Ytron-Quadro officially launched its new Quadro Comil model U5, a scaleable laboratory model conical screen mill, at last week's PPMA 2003 show in Brimingham, UK.

This unit is capable of milling products to below 150 microns and, with its dustless feed chute, allows small batches to be processed without product blowback, according to the company.

Ytron-Quadro noted that a multitude of tasks can be carried out by a simple exchange of screen and/or impeller without the need for a gap setting procedure.

The Quadro Comil U5 is the latest in a series of milling machines aimed at customers in the pharmaceutical, food and chemical process industries. Additional information on the new product is available by contacting Ytron-Quadro's UK sales department.
