Tablet pressing, the Italian way

An Italian-designed single punch automatic tablet press machine is now under distribution from UK equipment supplier Isopak.
Targetted at small batch runs, the stainless steel CPR-6 conceived by Dott Bonapace has an output of up to 2500 tablets per hour, and is built in two separate parts - a compressing area protected by security panels, and a mechanical area.
According to Isopak, the unit can exercise acompression force of 2.5 tons producing tablets with a maximum diameter of 16mm, filled to a depth of 17mm and at variable speed settings.
"It isideal for use in research establishments and clinical trial laboratories,and anywhere where space is at a premium." Said Robin Davies, managing director of Isopak and the sole UK distributor of the Dott Bonapace range of equipment.
