Irish pharmaceutical specialist Guy & Co has been strengthened
by the recent acquisition of leading US-based pharmaceutical
packaging specialist Pharmagraphics according to its parent company
and will now be known as Pharmagraphics Guy.

The acquisition of Pharmagraphics adds an additional five specialist manufacturing locations with over 350 employees to the rapidly expanding Specialist Packaging Division of Clondalkin, Guy's parent company.

Pharmagraphics is an international pharmaceutical packaging supplier, specialising in the manufacture of pressure-sensitive roll labels, package inserts and outserts, speciality labelling products, and innovative folding cartons for the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors.

"We have always made decisions that benefit our customers, and the integration of Pharmagraphics into our group has given us immediate access to a wider global market of users of pharmaceutical packaging," the group's CEO John Fitzgerald said.

"The decision to re-brand Guy & Co to Pharmagraphics Guy was a big decision for us to make because the Guy name is well recognized in the pharmagraphic market as synonymous with innovation, quality and superior service."

From a global market perspective, the company claims it makes good strategic sense to bring the two brands together under the universal Pharmagraphics brand.

Combining these two leading resources will bring shared benefits to the market through shared synergy, knowledge and joint Research & Development programmes, Guy believes.
