WuXi PharmaTech said that Benson Tsang, the company’s chief financial officer, is leaving the company for personal reasons at the end of this month. Edward Hu, WuXi’s chief operating officer, will serve as acting CFO until a replacement is found.
Albany Molecular Research Inc (AMRI) has named Richard Saffee as general manager of its US Large Scale manufacturing site in Rensselaer, New York. Saffee has more than 23 years of chemical manufacturing and leadership experience, most recently at Pfizer Global Manufacturing.
Contract research services company Bioanalytical Systems Inc (BASi) has hired Dr. Anthony Chilton as chief operating officer, scientific services. Chilton has responsibility for the scientific services provided to BASi's clients from its locations in North America and Europe.
ePharmaSolutions, a provider of clinical services and trial management technologies, has hired industry veterans Dr. Marian Ormont and Dr. Theresa Bromley to support the expansion of its global CNS Rater Services Department. The new recruits will support the development and deployment of several web-based technologies for training, certification and ongoing monitoring of raters in every continent for over 100 psychometric scales.
Clinical Trials and Surveys Corp (C-TASC) said it has hired three new biostatisticians – Dr. Terry Cox, Dr. Zhibao Mi and Dr. Zhaoyu Luo - in order to keep up with increased demand for its clinical trial services and technologies.
Covance has added to its project management capacity in the area of post-marketing studies with the appointment of Sandra DiGiambattista and Vanessa Castillo. Both have been named as project directors of clinical operations for peri-approval services. Meanwhile the firm said it had elected Dr. Bradley Sheares, a former CEO at Reliant Pharmaceuticals, to its Board of Directors.
US patient recruitment company D. L. Anderson International has elected chief operating officer Melynda Geurts and Dr. Roy Fleischmann to its board of directors. Fleischmann is medical director of Metroplex Clinical Research Center in Dallas, Texas.
