Novasep’s HPAPI plant gets SafeBridge certification
Novasep’s API manufacturing facility in Le Mans, France has been certified under the potent compound safety programme run by occupational health and safety specialist SafeBridge Consultants.
Novasep, which makes active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) on a contractual basis, said the accreditation “demonstrates the know-how, expertise and … safe handling of highly potent compounds” available at the facility.
SafeBridge certified the plant after an extensive review of the production operations and procedures in place at the plant’s R&D laboratories and manufacturing areas, as well as its quality control (QC) testing unit.
Rene de Vaumas, head of Novasep’s synthesis business, said the site provides a “combination of total synthesis, extraction, semi-synthesis and chromatographic purification” to pharma industry clients.
