Appointments at Catalent, MedSource and IGI Laboratories and PHT – People on the move

Outsourcing-Pharma presents its latest round up of movements in the pharma outsourcing sector, including appointments at Catalent, MedSource and IGI Laboratories and PHT.

Will Downie has joined Catalent Pharma Solutiuons as group president, sterile technologies and senior vice president (VP) of global sales and marketing. Downie will take responsibility for Catalent’s sterile technologies segment, including manufacturing and blow-fill-seal operations.

Before joining Catalent Downie held various positions at GE Healthcare and has also worked at Innovex, a division of Quintiles, and Sanofi-Synthelabo.

MedSource has appointed Parisa Jabbarzadegan as associate director of clinical operations. Jabbarzadegan joins the contract research organisation from PPD, where she worked as principal product manager.

eClinical business PHT Corporation has appointed Dwight Cooper as VP of client services. Cooper has more than 15 years in the industry, including eight at PHT, and co-founded Beehive Software.

Pharma and biotech consultancy KantarHealth has appointed Hettie Han as director of healthcare research in its Beijing, China office. Han has previously worked at Bristol-Myers Squibb, Penwest, Purdue and Kumming Pharmaceuticals.

IGI Laboratories has appointed Narendra Borkar to its board of directors, replacing Terrence O’Donnell who resigned to focus on his current business activities.

Borkar has more than 40 years experience in the pharma industry, holding senior executive positions at companies including Merck & Co, Roche, Novartis, Caraco Pharmaceutical Laboratories and, most recently, Aurobindo Pharma USA.
