Phase Forward and Merck win EDC gong

Related tags Collaboration Merck & co

Phase Forward and US drugmaker Merck & Co’s Direct Data loader (DDL) project has won SCDM’s 2009 data driven innovation award.

The Society for Clinical Data (SCDM) award, announced earlier this month in Seattle, recognises advances in clinical data management technology and specifically the DDL’s approach to integrating laboratory, biomarker and clinical information.

Phase Forward and Merck’s collaboration focused on incorporating data from the former’s InForm electronic data capture solution into the latter’s ongoing drug development projects. The firms used the DDL system to increase the InForm data load rate to 1,000 records per hour.

Phase Forward CEO Bob Weiler said: "We`re honored to share this award recognizing the creative and collaborative efforts of the… team."
