The government of Mexico City, Mexico is planning to create Campus Biometropolis, a hub for biomedical and nanomedical research which it hopes will be a platform for “world-class clinical research”.

It is hoped the cluster will attract significant investment over the next few years and lead to pharma and biotech setting up in Mexico City. To attract these businesses the government is highlighting the city’s infrastructure and skilled workforce, plus its proximity to growth markets.

Marcelo Ebrard, Mayor of Mexico City, said: "This is a critical investment in the future of Mexico City, taking us a step further toward becoming a global hub of scientific and technological excellence."
