Appointments at Synexus, INC and a Quintiles executive being elected at CDISC – People on the move

Outsourcing-Pharma presents its latest round up of movements in the pharma outsourcing sector, including appointments at Synexus, INC and a Quintiles executive being elected at CDISC.

Synexus​ has appointed Jeremy Hickling​ as senior vice president (SVP), portfolio management. Hickling joins Synexus from Parexel where he spent five years a senior director within the late phase PACE group. Before joining Parexel he worked at Biogen Idec.

The recruitment specialist has also promoted Erika Nemeth​ to country manager for Hungary. Nemeth joined Synexus in 2009 as operations manager for Hungary.

Paula Brown Stafford​, executive VP, integrated clinical services at Quintiles, has been chosen as chair-elect of the Clinical Data Interchange Standards Consortium’s​ (CDISC​) board of directors. Stafford joined Quintiles in 1985 as a biostatistician.

INC Research​ has named Geoff Fatzinger​ as executive director, regulatory affairs and strategic product development with overall responsibility for Europe and Asia.

GVI Clinical Development Solutions ​(GVI-CDS​) has strengthened its clinical and regulatory teams. Douglas Elliott​ has joined the company as director of clinical affairs, having previously held similar positions at Covance Canada, i3 Research and Innovus Research.

In addition, Sandra Reis​ has been appointed as director of regulatory affairs. Before joining GVI-CDS Reis worked for Intrinsik Health Sciences.

Bud Owen​ and Daryl Porter​ have joined Clinipace Worldwide​. Owen has been appointed chief financial officer at the contract research organisation (CRO) having held similar positions at MediaSpan Group, Reichhold Chemicals and Tables Surfaces.

Porter was named as chief technology officer. Before joining Clinipace Porter spent 18 years at Oracle, holding several executive-level positions in product development and support services.

DiTEBA Research Laboratories​ has appointed Sam Ricchezza ​as SVP of business development. Ricchezza has more than 14 years of business development experience at companies including Patheon, DPT Laboratories and AAIPharma.
