Appointments at Epizyme, Pregis, SixLog, Anthera and Cordis – People on the move

in-PharmaTechnologist presents its latest round up of movements in the pharma sector, including appointments at Epizyme, Pregis, SixLog, Anthera and Cordis.

Epizyme ​has named Robert Gould ​as its CEO and Jason Rhodes ​as executive vice president (EVP) and chief business officer. Gould has been on the Epizyme board for two years and has previously worked at the Broad Institute and Merck & Co.

Rhodes joins from Alnylam, where he was VP, business development, and is also a founder of Fidelity Investments’ biotech venture capital group.

Vanessa Valdez ​has been appointed general manager of SixLog​, a company providing biological decontamination services. Valdez has spent the past six years at Astro Pak, SixLog’s parent company, most recently as director of marketing.

Pregis Protective Packaging Europe​ has named Hamadi Ettarfass ​as business development director for systems. Ettarfass worked at Ranpak for 12 years.

Georgina Kilfoil ​has joined Anthera Pharmaceuticals ​as SVP of product development and clinical operations. Kilfoil has previously worked at InClin and Peninsula Pharmaceuticals.

Semprus BioSciences ​has appointed Colin Gardner​ and Michael Cima​ to its scientific advisory board. Gardner has worked as a consultant and also held positions at TransForm Pharmaceuticals and Merck & Co.

Cima has been involved in operations at MicroChips, Taris Biomedical, Entra Pharmaceuticals, T2 Biosystems and TransForm.

Christian Spaulding ​has been named worldwide VP of medical affairs at Cordis​.

Karo Bio AB​ has appointed Fredrik Lindgren​ as president and CEO. Lindgren has previously worked as CEO of Active Biotech AB and Biolin Scientific AB.
