Appointments at Penn Pharma, Omnicare, TranScrip Partners and Selvita – People on the move

Outsourcing-Pharma presents its latest round up of movements in the pharma outsourcing sector, including appointments at Penn Pharma, Omnicare, TranScrip Partners and Selvita.

Richard Yarwood ​has been named as CEO of Penn Pharma​. Yarwood has more than 33 years of experience at companies including Catalent Pharma Solutions, where he served as group president of sterile technologies and president for Europe and Asia Pacific.

Omnicare ​has appointed Robert “Rocky” Kraft​ as senior vice president (SVP). Before joining Omnicare Kraft was a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers and has 18 years of experience working with public and privately held clients across a number of industries.

Julia Lloyd-Parks​ and Mark Watling​ have been made senior partners at TranScrip Partners​. Lloyd-Parks has 30 years of experience working at Novartis, Innovex and Daiichi Sankyo. Watling has 18 years of clinical development experience from time at Cephalon and Novo Nordisk.

Selvita​ has named Piotr Prelich​ as VP of sales and marketing, giving him responsibility for growing the preclinical outsourcing business in Poland and abroad. Prelich worked at Invitrogen for the past three years and has also held positions at Novo Nordisk, Roche and Abbott.

Francois Dubois​ will join Hospira​ in January to fill the newly created position of SVP, quality. Dubois has previously worked at Tengion and Johnson & Johnson and will now take overall responsibility for global quality systems at Hospira.

The UK Government​ has appointed Chris Brinsmead​ as life sciences business advisor. In this role Brinsmead will work with the UK and overseas life science industries, the NHS and academia to provide independent advice to the government. Brinsmead is the former president of the ABPI.
