Outsourcing-Pharma presents a round up of recent clinical trial packaging services partnerships.

Brecon & Anderson partner

Anderson Packaging has partnered with its sister company Brecon Pharmaceuticals to offer clinical trial services under the name AndersonBrecon Clinical Services.

Both companies are part of AmerisourceBergen. Combining capabilities at UK-based Brecon and Illinois, US-based Anderson allows the companies to better meet the global requirements of clients.

AndersonBrecon means we can efficiently connect our customers in North American and Europe to their sites wherever they may be”, said Sue Miles, head of clinical trial services at Brecon.

Expansion of the Anderson site in Rockford, Illinois added clean rooms, placebo capsule manufacturing facilities and solid oral dose and powder packaging equipment. Secondary packaging facilities, with labelling capabilities, are also available on site.

Althea & Sherpa in co-marketing deal

Althea Technologies is expanding its service offering through a co-marketing agreement with Sherpa Clinical Packaging.

Sherpa offers labelling, packaging, distribution and storage from a site next to Althea’s clinical and commercial scale biopharm production plants in San Diego, California, US. This allows Althea to offer clients labelling and packaging services with minimal supply chain complications.

Contract packaging services offered through our co-marketing partner, Sherpa, will allow our clients to meet aggressive manufacturing timelines", said Valerie McDonnell, vice president, sales and marketing, Althea.

Sherpa will refer its clients to Althea when they need manufacturing services.
