Almac talks expansion at Interphex 2011

Northern Ireland-based CMO Almac is seeing growing demand across its business as evidenced by its current expansion efforts.

Outsourcing-Pharma spoke with James McGibbon from Almac Pharma Services at Interphex 2011 in New York who cited the recent​ addition of biopharmaceuticals storage capacity at the firm’s site in Craigavon as an example of the its recent growth.

He explained that the Craigavon expansion is to provide an unnamed client with supply security for a candidate pharmaceutical product that is in development adding that: “It’s very import to have a protected supply chain, particularly when your product is extremely valuable​.”

McGibbon also updated on Almac’s move to its new North American headquarters in Souderton, Pennsylvania.
