Bio-Rad has launched what it claims is the drug industry’s first all in one chromatrography platform for small-scale biopharmaceutical manufacturing.

The new technology, premiered at Interphex 2011, is designed to perform all process operations in a single unit which, according to Bio-Rad, optimises the use of valuable cleanroom space and simplifies column operations.

in-Pharmatechnologist.com spoke with Bio-Rad scientist Kim Brisack about some of the technologies’ potential benefits for small-scale, benchtop pharmaceutical biomanufacturing.
