Tereos Syral to add injectable glucose to range
Tereos Syral plans to add pyrogen-controlled glucose monohydrate production capacity to expand into pharmaceutical starch derivatives.
Production of will occur at a plant in Zaragoza, Spain dedicated to manufacturing corn-based pharmaceutical grade glucose. Tereos Syral is investing in the site to expand beyond its portfolio of pharmaceutical excipients.
In particular, Tereos Syral is moving beyond its focus on excipients for solid and liquid dosage form to enter the market for parenteral products. Excipients marketed by Tereos Syral include sorbitol, maltitol and glucose syrup.
Tereos Syral is also applying a new quality system to its range of excipients and extending documentation.
