AMRI has boosted its discovery capabilities in India with the appointments of Srinivas Nanduri and Suneel Kumar Bommisetty.

Nanduri, previously the contract research and manufacturing organisation’s research director, will become director of medicinal chemistry in India, whilst Bommisetty will be senior research associate of computational chemistry.

He joins the firm from GVK Biosciences, where he was a scientific associate.

Ark Therapeutics Group has appointed David Venables as CEO.

Venables first became involved with Ark when he joined the board this April, and has since focussed on the development of the CDMO’s (contract development and manufacturing organisation) viral capabilities in Finland.

He will take the helm after current chief Martyn Williams steps down at the end of this month.

Chairman Iain Ross said: "I am delighted that we were able to attract David to Ark earlier in the year and I am confident that under his leadership we will build a world-leading development and viral manufacturing services business.”
