Outsourcing-Pharma.com presents its weekly round-up of the latest pharma career changes, including news from Aesica, PharmaNet/i3 and Qforma.

Aesica​’sregulatory affairs manager Edd Wood ​has been promoted to the role of director of corporate quality.

Wood has worked for the CMO (contract manufacturing organisation) since its inception in 2004. Previously he worked in quality assurance and quality control at BASF and at Procter & Gamble.

He will now provide corporate support to the manufacturing operations team, and will take charge of the implementation of new and enhanced quality measures.

Chris Gowland, corporate manufacturing and compliance director said: “Quality is a vital aspect of the contract manufacturing process and our record in this arena is excellent. Edd will ensure that the highest possible standards are maintained and that our processes are enhanced continually for the benefit of all of our customers.”

PharmaNet/i3​ has hired Sarajane Mackenzie​ as senior VP of human resources.

Previously she served in the same role for Tata Consultancy Services.

"Sarajane brings the expertise and global experience necessary to support a leading international CRO and to assist in its continued growth,"​ said PharmaNet/i3’s COO Mike Ivers.

Data analytics provider Qforma​ has named Douglas Thiede​ as VP of business development.

He joins the firm from Gerson Lehrman Group where he worked on the team responsible for matchmaking with pharmaceutical and medical device companies in the US.

"Doug joins our growing Qforma team with a 15 year background in sales, marketing, management, business development and product launches,"​ said Al Reicheg, CCO.

Company adds FDA Compliance Veteran Andrea Ferrenz, Esq., and Manufacturing Expert Jane Shen Young, M.D., Ph.D., to Management Team

Celltex Therapeutics Corporation​ has appointed Andrea Ferrenz​, as executive VP and legal counsel, and Jane Shen Young​ as a manufacturing research scientist.

Ferrenz's will take charge of operations oversight, including compliance with federal and state regulatory agencies.

Young's responsibilities include research and development (R&D) of manufacturing processes and products in regenerative science.

Adi Asavaid​ has joined ImpactRx​ as senior VP of solutions design and implementation.

He joins ImpactRx from Opera Solutions where he was VP of retail solutions.

"I'm excited to bring my extensive design experience to help develop and deliver innovative solutions for our clients and I'm eager to work with the talented team and unique data assets to accelerate the Company's evolution to the forefront of analytically-based insight for the healthcare industry,"​ said Asavaid.
