CRO Velesco Opens New Business Development Office in Boston Area
Gerry Cox, Velesco co-founder and COO, who will be leading the new office, told us that the company is looking to “start small” in Massachusetts as it’s where the highest concentration of the company’s clients are located.
Michigan-based Velesco, which has been in business six years, focuses on drug formulation, analytical method development and the supply of cGMP clinical supplies to early phase clinical trials.
“We’re starting with a small office, and we’ll need to see gaps in our services and see if we need to further expand,” Cox said.
Velesco will be the first life sciences tenant of the Quincy Center for Innovation, a 12,500 square foot facility providing office space and support services for start-up companies and aspiring entrepreneurs. The QCI is expected to open fully Sept. 1.
