Almac doubles its global storage capacity

The firm’s European headquarters in Craigavon, UK and its US equivalent in Souderton, Pennsylvania will enable physical and chemical stability studies to be conducted on both API and a diverse range of drug products within expanded ICH compliant cold storage.
“With over 150 live stability programmes being managed at any one time, this is a welcome investment and enhancement to our facilities in both UK and USA,” said Rick Dyer, VP Quality Operations at Almac.
Almac began ramping up its storage and logistics services in 2010, launching its shipping temperature electronic monitoring system (STEMS) in2010, and investing in cold storage in 2011.
With this investment, Almac has added brand new stability chambers which, according to Director of USA Operations Aeri Park, “are of the highest quality standards to continue offering excellent reliability and increased efficiency for clients looking to outsource stand alone stability studies, or in an integrated fashion, with Almac’s clinical trial supply services.”
