The biopharmaceutical contract research organisation has appointed Carlos Orantes, previously president and CEO of Avanza Laboratories, as Chief Operating Officer.
At Avanza, Orantes helped lead the company’s 2012 asset purchase by the Smithers Group.
“Mr. Orantes brings an impressive record of designing and leading successful growth strategies for companies that are large and small, both private and publicly-held entities,” said Song Li, Chairman and CEO.
The new hire will lead Frontage’s US operations, headquartered in Pennsylvania.
