PEOPLE ON THE MOVE
Catalent
Catalent has taken on three senior personnel this month.
Robert Beland has been given the newly-created role of VP and European General Manager of its drug delivery unit Softgel Technologies.
Softgel, which Catalent’s Senior VP of Global Business has described as “the backbone of the company for many decades now”, launched two new products at last October’s CPHi – Optishell, a vegetarian capsule using seaweed instead of gelatin, and OptiGel Lock, a technology designed to prevent misuse.
Beland will be tasked with accelerating European growth from Catalant’s offices in Cham, Switzerland.
The company has made two further senior appointments in its Biologics business unit.
Andrew Sandford will join Catalent as VP, Business Development, Biologics, with a focus on the newly opened Biomanufacturing Center of Excellence in Wisconsin.
Jennifer Mitcham has joined Catalent from Theraclone Sciences. She is now Director, Business Development for Antibody-Drug Conjugates, Biologics.
