Rho
Rho, a privately-owned North Carolina contract research organization (CRO) has hired psychiatrist Jack Modell as its Senior Medical Officer.
Modell has worked in academic medicine for 20 years, with an additional ten years’ experience in Phase II-IV clinical drug development. He is known for leading the development of preventative pharmacotherapy for the depressive episodes of seasonal affective disorder.
Before Rho, Modell worked at GSK where he helped lead several neuroscience development programmes, as a VP of neurosciences and a VP of medical governance.
Elsewhere in the company, Rho is currently involved in a hiring spree, having added 36 employees since the start of the year, and announcing plans to hire approximately 24 more in the next few months, including entry-level roles, clinical research associates, senior project managers and a vice president of operations. The company presently has 371 employees.
