Aptuit, a company providing drug development services during early to mid-phase research, has named Paul Overton, Executive VP, Business Development and Marketing, making him responsible for all of Aptuit’s sales and marketing activities.
Overton previously led the Global Sales, Marketing and Programme Management team at contract research organisation Huntingdon Life Sciences and grew the business significantly, developing late-stage discovery and translational sciences partnerships for the company. During his time at Huntingdon, he rolled out a market-leading Content Marketing Program utilizing social media and worked on liaison between Marketing and Sales.
Prior to this, Overton held senior positions at Covance, LCG Biosciences, Origin Pharmaceutical Services and Cambridge Life Sciences.
His new role will be based in the UK and also includes an appointment to Aptuit’s Executive Committee.
The company simultaneously announced an upgrade to its sterile drug product capacity, with a million-dollar investment in its cytotoxic drug product manufacturing facility in Glasgow, Scotland.
