Apotex
Apotex, Canada’s largest generics maker with over 5,500 employees in Canada and 10,000 globally, has appointed Jeremy Desai as President and CEO. Jack Kay, former CEO, has become Vice Chairman of the Board.
English-born Desai has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 30 years and at Apotex for 11, in roles including Executive Vice President, Global Head of R&D, and most recently, President and Chief Operating Officer.
Apotex exports to 75 countries and has said it plans R&D expenditure of $2.1bn (€1.5bn) over the next 10 years.
