Merck Serono
Merck Serono (EMD Serono in the US and Canada), Merck KGaA’s biopharmaceutical subsidiary, has made Drew Young Senior Vice President of Neurology and Immunology.
Young comes to EMD Serono from Biogen Idec, where he was the marketing lead of the interferon franchise for the company’s multiple sclerosis (MS) business.
EMD Serono’s lead neurology product is Rebif (interferon beta-1a) for the treatment of relapsing MS.
Among other roles, Young has previously worked in sales and marketing roles at Bristol-Myers Squibb in Canada and the US, Schering Plough Canada, and Novartis Canada.
